FIRST YEAR

 

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION-I YEAR.

               A pass in SSLC with eligibility for admission to first year of the Higher Secondary School in Tamil Nadu.(or) Any other qualification recognized as equivalent to SSLC(or) X Standard of Tamil Nadu High School by the Director of School Education, Secondary Board Education of Tamil Nadu.

               Candidates who are qualified as on 01-07-2005 who have passed the qualifying examination during April 2005 or earlier examination only will become eligible for admission. For all communities a MERE PASS is SUFFICIENT. No age limit for admission for all candidates. Admission will be done ranking for 500 marks and as per the QUOTA except management quota.

 ELIGIBILITY TO WRITE BOARD EXAMINATIOIN.

        Examination shall be conducted in both theory and practical. A candidate will be permitted to appear for the Board Examination in each semester only if

  1. he secures not less than 80 percent of attendance theory, practical and drawing subjects
  2. He earns a progress certificate from the Head of the institution of having satisfactorily completed the course of prescribed or required by these regulations and his conduct has been satisfactory.
  3. Students who have shortage of attendance i.e. below 80 percent will not be permitted to write the Board Exams under any circumstances.
