NATIONAL CADET CORPS(NCC)

       NCC training is imparted for selected for students in the Army and Naval wings under 3 TN BN NCC, Kanchipuram and 4 TN Naval Technical Unit, Chennai respectively.  Army wing is comprised of 80 NCC Cadets and one Associate NCC Officer, Major K.Ragothaman who is the company commander.  Naval wing is comprised of 60 NCC Cadets and on Associate NCC Officer Lt.Cdr. R.Kandasamy.

      In both the wings selected cadets are participating in all India camps like Advanced Leadership camp. Basic Leadership camp, Para sailing, National Integration camp, Mountaineering camp, Trekking Expeditions, Army attachment, Ship attachment etc.  All the second and third year NCC Cadets are compulsorily attending the combined annual training camps every year to qualify themselves for appearing the B and C certificate examinations which are conducted every year.  Attendance in the NCC parades are compulsory.  Discipline should be maintained in every walks of NCC Training.

               NCC is striving very hard to achieve the Motto UNITY AND DISCIPLINE and the cardinals of NCC are:-

  • Be punctual
  • Work hard and without fuss
  • Make no excuses and tell no lies.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME(NSS)

NSS is acting with 2 units with both boys and girls.  Each unit consists of 100 volunteers.  Under this scheme various social service activities are conducted.  A social camping programme is conducted for 10 days in every year, In which various activities are inducted to enhance the soft skills of the students.
