HOSTEL:

The hostel accommodation for 200 students is available at the campus itself. The Principal is the Ex-Officio Warden of the hostel.

HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS:

      v    ADMISSION:

Ø   Application for admission shall be made in prescribed form which can be  had from the hostel office.

Ø   Admission shall be made on the basis of merit of each application and no reason whatsoever will be for the rejection of application.

Ø   Only the students who sign the special declaration agreeing to strictly abide by the regulations of discipline mentioned therein will only be admitted.

Ø   Students are strictly advised to pay the mess bill promptly before 15th of every month.  Defaulters will not be permitted to dine in the mess.

Ø   The caution deposit will be returned to the students only after the audit of the account is over.

Ø   Any inmate wanting to leave the hostel in the middle of a semester on his own accord, he must submit a letter to the warden and must vacate the hostel only after getting permission from the warden.  No refund of room rent will be made in such cases.

v    ALLOTTMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF ROOMS:

Ø   Members should occupy only the rooms allotted to them.

Ø   The furniture allotted to the room should not be removed from its place.

Ø   Each room will be provided with furniture items and tube lights.  The occupants are responsible for the safe return of the same in good condition at the time of their leaving the hostel..

Ø   Students should take great care in keeping their money, valuables etc in safe own custody.  The authorities are not responsible for any loss.

Ø   The walls of the room and surroundings shall be kept neat and tidy by the occupants.

Ø   No meeting should be conducted in the hostel without getting prior permission of the warden.

Ø   Use of transistors, radios, and T.V or iron box is strictly prohibited.

 

v    MESS:

Ø   The mess is vegetarian.  Eating non-vegetarian dishes is not permitted.

Ø   The mess timings are as follows:

 7.00 A.M to 8.30 A.M ---- Breakfast

12.00 P.M to 1.45 P.M ---- Lunch

 7.00 P.M to 8.30 P.M ---- Dinner

Ø   Members other than representatives shall not enter the kitchen or stores or give orders and/or directions to the cook or other servants.

Ø   Complaints or representatives must be made to the warden only.

Ø   Making noise with plates and tumblers is strictly prohibited.

Ø   The students should maintain silence and decorum in the dining hall.

 

v    DISCIPLINE:

Ø   Member should not remain in his room during the working hours of the institution without permission of the Deputy Warden.

Ø No members shall absent himself from the hostel between 8.30 P.M and 5.00 A.M without getting permission of the Deputy Warden. 

Ø   Absence with leave shall be addressed to the Deputy Warden.

Ø   Spitting, committing nuisance anywhere in the hostel or driving nail on the walls, doors, windows or furniture are prohibited.

Ø   Members should restrain from causing disturbances, riotous behavior, group singing and such other acts, smoking, use of intoxicants and playing cards in the premises are strictly prohibited.  Offenders will be seriously dealt with.

Ø   Any damage done to the hostel properties like furniture, electric fittings, wash basins etc shall be paid by the members at fault.

Ø   Misconduct or breach of any one of the hostel rules will render the offender liable for suspension of dismissal.

Ø   Any question not covered by these rules shall be decided by the warden.  He is vested with powers for fresh rules.
